Hotkey "Option + s" act as Quick save
sklobuchowski
Currently when I want to type the Polish letter ś, I have to press Option+S. Unfortunately, Qase recognizes this as a shortcut to quick save, even though according to the article on hotkeys (https://help.qase.io/en/articles/5563707-hotkeys), only Alt+S saves changes.
This is troublesome because it prevents me from entering text in my native language.

HI sklobuchowski Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us. I completely understand how frustrating this can be. As a possible workaround, if you press and hold the S key on your keyboard, you should see a list of accented characters to choose from, including ś.
I realize this may not be the ideal solution you were hoping for, but I wanted to let you know that, at this time, our team does not have immediate plans to change this behavior. That said, your feedback is truly valuable, and I’ve noted it for future consideration.

Hi Vikas! To be honest it is far from ideal solution.
When we write test cases in Polish (which is all of our projects), we naturally use s+option. Your solution suggests a constant need to think that "ś" is coming and now I need to focus so I don't accidentally press s+option and inadvertently save the test case.

Not allowing switching off shortcuts is against WCAG: https://www.w3.org/WAI/WCAG21/Understanding/character-key-shortcuts.html

a.madzik We’ve recorded your request to add an option to disable hotkeys. It has been sent to our engineering team and will be reviewed according to our standard prioritization process.

Manjunatha Reddy Great, thank you!

Manjunatha Reddy we would really appreciate if you prioritize this problem. Right now it affects our daily work. Even when I type polish word "hasło" your JS still catches it as s + option and saves test case.

Hi Vikas Thanks for the advice. An interesting and unconventional solution. Unfortunately, to say it's not ideal would be an understatement. Imagine that every time you want to type, for example, N, the page reloads first, so you have to go back to where you were writing and use the workaround you mentioned.
Anyway, thanks for your response and good intentions.

Manjunatha Reddy That's great news.
