Currently, the workspace owner must be a regular user – meaning they occupy a licensed seat and are billed accordingly. Although ownership can be transferred, it is only transferable to another regular user within the workspace.

Often, the owner does not actively use the workspace features but instead manages user access and billing. It would be beneficial if the owner role were read-only, with the option to convert to a regular user by adding an extra license when needed.

For instance, Figma allows the account owner to have a “restricted viewer” role, which is essentially the same as a read-only user in Qase.
